Help!

We just finished a fun-filled four day Forsyth family reunion that I NEED to post about!
BUT...whenever I open my Photoshop Elements organizer it is completely FROZEN! I cannot do a single thing! I can't even close it, I have to press the "end now" button that comes up when "your program is not responding."
Help. Has this ever happened to anyone before and how do I fix it? Do I need to take my hard drive in and have a pro fix it? or is there something I can do?
If anyone has some ideas, it would be helpful. I can't get to any of my pictures. Thanks so much.

Hmmm, not sure about the photoshop thing since I've never used it.

Can you save your pictures from your camera directly to your C: drive and then just upload them from there?

Good Luck!

HEy lisa...you should have your pictures available to you outside your photoshop program. Check in you document files and what not, see if you have something called pictures.

No idea about the photoshop though. They do have an online forum though you can go check out and post your problem, or see if anyone else has posted that problem. There are some weird glichy things with photoshop though...mine didn't work on my new laptop when my printer was installed. When i deleted the printer, it worked. Retarded hu! Good luck sista.

ps...giving myself some time to think of some gooooood stories!

I asked Mark because he is a computer guy and he said to uninstall and reinstall the program and you wont lose any of your photos. He said if you have any questions you can e-mail him at queijoman@gmail.com. Any computer problems let him know and he will try to help. Also I love picasa. It's free from google. Good luck

Hey, I did a little research. This will probably fix your problem.

Make sure that the organizer is closed and delete the following file:

c:\documents and settings\[user name]\application data\adobe\photoshop elements\[version]\organizer\status.dat

you should be able to open up the organizer again with no problem.

Email me (Mark) if it doesn't work. I can look up a couple more things.

I am so not qualified to help you with your computer problems---but I just wanted to say--"Heck yes" lets have a bar-b-Q--and sooner rather than later!! We had such a great weekend--I told Darren even if we were not related to you guys, I could see us being friends!
