A trip down memory lane

OK, I've seen this on a few friend's blogs lately. So I thought I'd give it a try...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I remember Mike talking in Sunday school about the ward missionary project and he was so excited and enthused about it. I realized you were his wife later that same Sunday and you looked so sweet and cute. I thought you guys made a really cute couple.

I remember meeting you in church and then like the next week I saw you at Walmart and you said hi and you even remembered my name.
I remember Kyron having you for scouts too and I was so glad that he had someone so sweet! I love the way you talk with your hands (just a little).
I remember thinking what a stinkin' cute family!

Honestly, they are so many...I can remember a couple of times, when we would start laughing our heads off, but now I don't remember what we were laughing at. Was is when you drove straight through the drive-thru at Mcdonalds and we had to back up to get our food?? Who knows. We had a lot of great memories together though. Sure do miss and love ya!!

I remember when you lived in that basement apartment in Provo and our car was such a piece of junk that it wouldn't make it up the hill. I think we sometimes parked at the bottom and walked up.

I remember thinking you were a great cook because I really liked your Taco Soup recipe. Still one of our quick and easy favorites!

So many memories..I believe one was when you, me and shannon went swimming fully clothed in the CP Pool...or when I would bring your EFY girls cookies...or how we became roomies because I took over your empty apartment for the summer..you came home on weekends...Or my favorite memory right now is running into you in target after so many many years..glad we are back in touch!!

I remember seeing you come out of Pres. Shields office as we were waiting to be go into his office to be called into the singles ward. I knew you had just been called as the other counselor and I remember thinking how fun and cute you were and how I was excited to get to know you.

remember when you came to my moms house last summer? We tried to eat our KFC in her backyard and got swarmed by bees.

all the scrapbooking nights, eating lots of junk and soda.

and yes, helping you pack. the day you left was the saddest day ever!

Oh gosh...this is fun!! Anyone and everyone who reads your blog is going to think I am not talking about Y-O-U...I think you know where this is going.

First I will start with Grandview Elementary...and us suddenly realizing we were both moving to Vegas to teach! How fun for us. Every Thursday night watching friends. Those were the day...no kids, just our own schedule!

Next...Vegas...which means ...Shows...like the Wheel Of Fortune!! Hahahahaha. I know you are blushing right now. For the rest of you readers I will just say that I played on the show and I was the "GRAND PRIZE WINNER" ...with the answer of Rod Stewart.

However, you have to drive to get to the show. And, poor Mike, had a little pull out in front of on coming traffic incident. And Lisa, yes, the same Lisa you all know and love, had a little slip of a bad word incident, Holy *#$@! (Yeah that was what I heard.) AHHHHHH!!! The one and only time (I am sure) a bad word has ever come out of her mouth, I was there to witness. It still makes me laugh. Because after, she was so embarrassed and she felt so bad. She was sad that if we would have gotten hit (and to her defense, it was a very close call - Mike) those would have been the last words out of her mouth. =( Seriously, I am laughing out loud right now.

Good times, Lisa! You still make me laugh, even from miles and miles and miles away. You are such a good person. I only tell this story because I wish I could be more like you. =)

I remember in high school I went to Denny's with you and Jamie in the wee hours of the morning. I can't remember why, but I remember that it was well after my curfew and my parents let me go. :)

There are two many to list and some better not listed (Mike Echols and friends and Black Lake swimming) but it is always good to remember where you been...sometimes I forget all the memories that have made me who I am today and those that are in those memories....easily forgotten in getting to where you are going in life...thanks for reminding me....

Lisa,

There are so many memories. But the one that sticks out in my mind was when you and Mike took Addie for the night when I went to the hospital to have Brianna. Addie loved the two of you so much, she called you Leesie, because she couldnt say Lisa. We need to find time to get together more often.

It was in the singles ward and it was a FHE night when we played the not so newlywed game and just listening to you made me want to have a marriage like yours. That night was so much fun and you are great examples to Mark and I. Thank you!!!

Lisa, as your mother, I don't know where to begin with the memories. Since it is Anna's 8th birthday and her baptism I will remind you that you waited to get baptized. We were fairly recent converts and you were not going to get baptized just because mom and dad did. You waited several months to know that it was right for you. You were and still are a fun daughter...we have had many good times. I'm so happy we have many interests in common. One area that we didn't have in common was that as a little girl you had no interest (or very little) in dolls. I just adored my dolls. As I've been cleaning out the attic and such I've recently been reminded of that. Anna complains how Abby sleeps, you were also a wild sleeper, arms and legs going every which way, she must get that from you. One nice thing was that when you would fall asleep on the couch and I would walk you into your bedroom to get you to bed, you would just talk up a storm, found out some interesting things that way. Of course you remembered nothing of what you said in the morning. What can I say, always a very good student, top in class academically and top in class in the "socializing" area. From kindergarten thru high school, I could count on comments from the teachers about my "social" daughter. Love you more than words can say, mom

I have some great memories with you Lisa. This is because of how old we were when we made those memories. Being a young college student you tend to do all kinds of goofy stuff and needless to say memories will be made. I do have to say that that summer in the mountains of Montana where we worked peeling yew trees was quite the memory maker. I was amazed at your strength and sense of humor. That summer was certainly something to remember. All in all living with you,Shannon and Nicole we were able to create many awesome memories. You three made such an impact in my life and I guess that is why to this day despite the distance and how little we actually see each other, we are still so close. Love you Lisa...thanks for being such a good friend.

About a month after we moved into Eldorado First (gosh that was a looong time ago)You and Mike had to speak together in sacrament. I remember watching you two up there and thinking that you guys were so amazingly strong in the gospel. I wanted to be like that, too.

Also, once when Brinton was in the hospital for his tongue surgery you substituted for me as chorister. I was so stressed out and it meant a lot that you would do that because like 3 other people had already said no. Thanks! :)
